Team Snow Trainers sit their Level 2 assessments

So all our Snow Trainers have just completed their Level 2 Assessment!
After 10 weeks of preparations including a tonne of rider/skier improvement, practice teaching, movement analysis and good times, the team were ready.
The assessment can be an intense week for students, so through our training we aim to prepare our Snow Trainers the best we can. We practice all elements of the assessment under the same conditions as the exam so that everyone knows what to expect and how to best to let the skills they have learnt shine through.
Well done team we know how much hard work you all put in – so well deserved.

Mark gets ready for his first dive!
As part of our season we run a competition to win a Go Pro HD video camera.
Each weekend we run an event where our Snow Trainers can earn points. Some of the events include Crazy Golf, Frisbee Golf, Football, Basketball and Bowling. Whoever has the most points at the end of the season wins. But the grand finale is our Snow Trainers Got Talent night. This year competition was fierce at the end with Mark, Amanda and Jen fighting it out for overall top spot.
In the individual event, Mark wowed the crowds on the Wharf with a 3 dive extravaganza into the 8°c Lake Wakatipu and then Amanda and Jen matched each other with headstands, ‘The Worm’ and bench-pressing our very own Hawke! A late entry from Chris and Hawke with what can only be described as a love song duet courtesy of Tenacious D, which brought a tear to Renski’s eye and got the crowds cheering to take 1st place in the individual event. Eventually Amanda pipped both Mark and Jen to take 2nd place in the event and win the overall title – Well done Amanda, and we want to see some awesome Go Pro footage soon.
Well done to all, and our Snow Trainers are definitely talented on and off the snow!
