100% pass rate on the NZ Level One exams - well done guys!!!
We’re mid-way through the Southern Hemisphere winter and already the first half of our NZ Snow Trainers course is over. There have been many highlights but the best of all was EVERYONE passing their Level One ski or snowboard certifications last week. What an awesome effort! As a reward for doing so well we took them all heli skiing, which topped off an amazing week. Sadly though, all of the trainees on our 6 week course are about to leave us :( We wish them all the best and hope to see them again soon, maybe in Japan or the USA to take their Level Two exams!!
It’s been a jam-packed 6 weeks so far. Most mornings the trainees have had individual and group skier/rider improvement and in the afternoons they work on their teaching skills. Once a week there’s an indoor analysis session too.
As well as all the hard work on the snow there’s been plenty of off-snow social events and competitions like mini golf, luging, jumping in the lake, frisbee golf and bungee jumping, just to name a few. The crew also took a backcountry course to help keep them safe when they go hiking at The Remarkables. This weekend we are looking forward to the most exciting social event of all, “Snow Trainers Got Talent - The Ultimate Talent Show!”.
