"I joined the Snow Trainers crew in New Zealand for what was the most awesome 3 months of my life! The guys provide great on and off mountain training throughout the whole course – You improve your own skills while learning how to teach others and preparing for the exams. And… what more could a snow junkie love than spending an entire season hanging out on the mountains… =) Nada! You will probably fall in love with Queenstown… just a warning! There’s tons to do besides heading to the snow on days off if you don’t feel like racing around Coronet Peak or hitting the Stash at Remarks. Tony and Matt are really cool guys who look after, hang out and go out with everyone. You really are part of a crazy large family from random far and near places. And with your newly acquired family you jump off perfectly good bridges, ride helicopters up mountains, jump into rather cold (freezing!) lakes, frisbee golf, slalom race as ninja turtles, woodland creatures and tribal chieftans!… it goes on. If you have ever wanted to do something like this and the opportunity presents itself… DO IT! I am serious – Don’t turn back! I am so happy that I chose Snow Trainers – during my experience I’ve met and made awesome friends, gained 3 NZSIA qualifications & several job offers, had crazy fun.. and my share of Ferg Burgers! “I took the Snow Trainers program during the 2015-2016 season at Copper Mountain in Colorado. Needless to say, it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I’ve made lifelong friends and invaluable network connections in the snow sports industry. At first my only hesitation involved the cost of the program, but after doing some research I found that a vacation condo runs from $1200-$3000 a week, and a single full day snowboarding lesson is $177 at Copper. Snow Trainers gives you 48 full days of training with the top instructors in the field. Lodging and lessons alone would costs upwards of $25,000. The program gave me an excellent understanding of not only snowboarding instruction, but phenomenal improvement of my own riding skills as well. When you take all of this into consideration, even if you’re not planning on going for a career in snow sport instruction, it is an incredibly cost effective way to spend a season in Colorado and go riding every day. If you’re hesitant about pulling the trigger on this one, take my advice and go for it. It was the greatest experience of my life and I left with a comprehension of snowboarding that exceeded my expectations.”

I mean, where better than Queenstown??!!! I accomplished many of my goals including skiing 80+ days, learning how to carve switch and smashing down over 30 Ferg Burgers throughout my time in New Zealand.
